When success is a necessity…..

The day of jubilations and celebrations for around 500-odd candidates who’re about to step in the Indian bureaucracy.

Mutyalaraju Revu , an Andhra guy belonging to a humble background outdid all and sundry to get #1 rank in his third attempt out of three lakhs candidates who appeared for it. His father is a farmer in the Krishna district of the state. In his last attempt he had been awarded an IPS post. Perseverance and hard work are what he calls his strategic keys to success.

Must be wondering , what was the need to put this information here ?, when its already all over the tabloid these days.

What motivated this engineer turned IAS into taking the plunge to untie this gordian knot was something which could have in a usual case dishearten someone.

His source of inspiration.....

“During my third year B Tech, some of my friends came to my village, which lacks proper transport, education and medical facilities, for a picnic. Six of them drowned and died in the sea. And it took us two hours to reach the nearby town for some medical help. This incident made me appear for civil services,” Revu says.

His course of action……

“He says he would not be able to serve the nation if he’d go abroad.I wanted to be in civil services so that I can render my services to the nation, “ the topper says.
“It depends on the district I get. But my concentration will be on rural development because 70 per cent of the people live in rural India and they aren’t enough facilities even after 57 years of independence.”

Living for a cause and working for emancipation , these ‘re the characteristic traits one must possess for the growth of humanity on the whole.

Success may be defined in a number of ways but the best form is when its just not a dream but a necessity turned into reality as it happened in Revu’s case.

We often call people like Revu as lucky one’s but its so easy to understate one’s years of efforts by calling them lucky.
Anybody can be successful overnight but nobody should forget that this night comes after hours of hard work , days of perseverance , months of will & endurance and years of efforts.

“Heights by greatmen were not achieved in a single flight , they while their companions slept were toiling upwards in the night”

Rest assured, this guy will so become just another "bureaucrat". Love for one's nation doesn't last long when you join the government services...
Yes he rubbed his butt of for three years before succeeding, now guess whose pockets he will fill, not the poor farmers' i bet.

Anyways this love for nation, and patriotism thing is all lame, a just another political agenda.
Love for people is more important, and only after Indian politicos develop that, will our nation progress at it's truest potential.
